I was at the launch of The Beat, which was done with a music talent search as well. The talents were largely questionable. It makes you wonder... what sort of talent are we searching for? I've got to applaud the contestants for their courage, but as we know, courage is not king in a talent search.

I was one of the judges, and it came to a point where I resorted to give pity points. I mean, instead of giving them a 0.3, or a 1 or 2, I decided to start at a minimum of 3. I'm a lousy judge.

Nonetheless, there was this guy- Gregory Giting, whom I thought was the better of them all. Unfortunately, he didn't win.

Good, bad, boring, painful, amusing- it was all that, and interesting.

Tomorrow, Thomas Pink and Star Trek.

Wait... I'm giving Star Trek away, it's just Thomas Pink then.
