... I say I love rainingPulling out from SS's home the other day, I thought about our friendship. We've grown so much closer since our days in Adelaide. We were close then, but not nearly as close as this. Her home is my second home where I drop by every other day.
A salty summer breeze
I say I love the ocean
When like is all I mean
So I love you more than ice cream
I love you more than roses
I love you more than ice cream
I love you more than roses

We share things.
I raid her pantry and fridge without asking. It's ok. :P
I love coming to their home, and see SS and Chen as they are. I like it that they don't have to dress nicely or play host. SS in her huge shirt and shorts that are... (I'll keep it to myself, and if you're thinking its very short, it's not, it's quite a something else) Chen in his shirt and shorts that are.... (I'll keep it to myself too. But this is hilarious, we just had another laugh about it yesterday).
I reckon that when they pack and leave sometime next year, I would be very sad. What an understatement. I would probably go through a similar sense of lost as what I felt when I packed and left Adelaide in 2005.
I would miss the habit of seeing them every other day after a long day of work. I would miss helping SS out in the kitchen. I would miss her nutritional talk. Her very animated expressions. Her sharp sarcasm. I would miss picking her up from Midvalley after her groceries. I would miss Chen saying grace before dinner. I would miss dinner with them. I would miss Chen's quiet yet sure company. I would miss seeing them fool at each other. Chen almost always lets SS win. I would miss them in their, erm, shorts.

I love them heaps. I know I'll miss them mightyly.
But most of all, I'm just happy I have them with me, even if it's just for now.
I thank God for friends so dear.
