the sarong party girl

Media Prima- the largest integrated media investment group in Malaysia, threw their annual media appreciation party last Thursday at Sunway Lagoon. Some of the brands under Media Prima are ntv7, 8TV, TV3, flyfm, and NSTP. Having such big brands under their belt, I expected a huge party. Stef as she is shies away from parties like this.

Manalah I tau, last minute YT pulled me along with Sher to the party. Sher emails me the invite. "Sarong party" is plastered across in fancy-dancy fonts.

.

W.H.A.T?!!? (I couldn't not want to go any more than this)

.

Sher would have to deal with my melodramatic response to the invite. And, in her usual fashion, without much thought she conjured up an outfit for me from her wardrobe. Savior. :P

When the hour came, the rush to Sunway was not comfortable. It was HOT even though the a/c was turned on in the car, and the rush *sigh*.

At arrival, we had loads of difficulty finding the entrance to the party. Maybe we were asking all the wrong people, but we were directed all over the mall. It was painful because I had blisters on my feet, and Sher was agitated (and she's scary when she's that way. shhh.). We were both sweltering.

Even after we got into the party, the standing about in the evening (sunless) heat was bad. I've been having 'hot' days and nights for awhile now. At home, it's hot too as my a/c has gone k.o. for 2 weeks now.

Finally, the sweating at the party had rashes appearing on my neck, and the sweat makes it stings.

That aside, the party was quite alright. The crowd wasn't all that big. YT and Doc joined us too. It was all good, because we left early. :P

When I got home, I couldn't wait to get into the shower. Midway, I diverted for a quick Canon moment.

Me in Sher's sarong. :) I've taken out her huge gold earrings by then. :P

After shower, it's the magic... talcum powder for my rashed neck. Now it's pretty fine, and I'm in for another... sweaty night.

Dear God,

Please send rain (preferably at the wee-hours of the morning).

Love, the (one-day) sarong party girl.
