sharing their chicken scratch

I want to share with you about my students, in conversation I call them the (my) kids.

There isn't much to tell about the older kids, so I'll just get straight on with the young ones.

Yesterday I gave them new exercise books, you know the one with two blue lines sandwiched by two red lines? The ones you used when you were in kindie and it's because you crawl your words instead of writing them.

They were so happy receiving something new, although its just a 50-cent exercise book. :) Anyways, the whole point of giving them this book is because their handwriting was and is absolutely atrocious!

Let me share with you their work, and what you see is after instruction and correction.


After seeing a few writings like the ones above, I guess I should've started with ABC-abc, for both capital letters and small letters.

Some of the slightly better ones... :)

And this was the best of the lot.

They still have a lot to learn, but they're getting there.
