Tumi

I just came back from the launch of Tumi in Pavilion. Through banters with various people, it seems Valiram events are always a treat. This one was not to disappoint. The canapes kicked off with california rolls, lobster bisque, and lots of other absolutely delicious and pretty looking canapes. One of the unusual ones had chicken liver, it's actually nice. :)

For me it was a first to see such a number of security personnel all around in smart black blazers and semi-concealed earpiece for an event like this.

We were really near the dessert table, so when they laid it out, we were enlivened, followed by a curiosity of "who is catering for this event?!!?"

Guess who? ...... JW Marriott.
Then came the... "wah, no wonder ler."

Check it out!!!

They even have Tumi branding on the cupcakes?

I'm glad I did not get too carried away with the eating, but now as I write about it, I feel a tinge of regret that I did not try at least half the spread.

Before you assume that they only served us dessert and canapes, here're a few selection from the mains. It's barely half of the spread.

And this plate was shared between Sher and I.

Everything was shared between us, except the baby carrots were mine, and the broccoli hers. :P The roast beef was excellent, the meat was roasted to a pinkish shade with luscious tenderness, and the flavour delish!

The event was good. I met a lot of people, and with good food at a comfortable pace with free flow of liquor, everyone seems easier to talk to.

That yellow beverage is mine- juice. :P Another alco-free day. :)

Oh wait, the raving about the food had me forgot about the brand itself. Tumi's range was very nice, but it doesn't seem very different than what current brands are offering. I wonder... how are they gonna stand out from the rest? I want to know.
