Here's what I miss about my childhood

'Child labour': wiping the floors on all fours.

This is no fun done alone. I had the joy of growing up with three cousins and an elder brother, all within a 1-2 year age gap. Mum would wet the floor thoroughly, then wait for us with a pail on one end. Equipped with a rag cloth (usually whatever that is left of an old holey shirt), we would race each other to see who will get back to the pail first; other times, we just enjoyed the sliding around and getting wet. Needless to say, the rags and the floor wasn't the only thing that got wet, our pants and shirts were usually not spared.

I think it's a brilliantly fun way to get household chores done, and wear down hyperactive children. I, a product of such 'child labour' (:P) highly recommends it.
