Snippets from the last three days

1. Artisan cookies from Japan

One of dad's Japanese business associate comes down to KL every now and again bearing beautiful gifts. The latest one was sheer deletable.

I love the tin it came in. :)

2. VW Scirocco in Viper Green

Following the test drive of the Passat CC last weekend, VW handed us the Scirocco for this weekend.

First, Doc drove me to an event at Starhill in the Scirocco, and boy, we were being 'checked' out a lot by passing motorists.

And when we got back to the office, I took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood. I love the ride.

Check out the window! Frameless!

It's got this rear parking pilot or something like that. It's not something I'm keen on, but I guess its just one of those things they add.

I love the front view of this car lots, but the back kinda reminds me of the Mazda 2, a boost up version of course.

I simply love this car. It'll probably replace the Golf GTI on my "I've made it when I have this" list.

3. TW Steel Party @ Rootz

LuxuryConcept launched yet another great brand- TW Steel. Press conference aside, we were also invited a party at Rootz- supposedly the latest haunt in KL.

I intended to give this party a miss, as I've been so busy and tired over the last few weeks. But the client has asked on a few occasions that I should try to join them. And, boy I'm glad I did, because...

Melissa Indot, a sensational Malaysian talent spin and sang for us! And she was AAAAWWEESOMEEE!

Photo isn't great because of the low lighting. But she's more beautiful in person than in her MTV clips or photos. And you have to watch her in person to really appreciate her talent. She is that good.

Check out this Youtube clip of one of her songs. You'll love her vocals. :)

I don't usually do this, but this calls for an exception.... toilets.

Check out the ladies at Rootz! All the walls and doors are lined with photos of muscular men, with the odd rectangular left blank for a mirror.

I thought the concept was interesting, although cluttered. :)

4. Jägermeister is odious stuff.

Usually, at all work functions I steer clear of alcohol.

Two reasons: 1. I turn red real easy; 2. I'm not a fan.

At the TW Steel Party at Rootz, I decided to give it a go because the place was just too freaking cold. I downed a glass of red on an empty stomach, followed by a shot of Jägermeister. It was my first time trying a Jägermeister, and that thing tastes awful. It was the last thing I could taste that whole night because...

10 minutes later, my head felt like it was strung 6 inches above my neck. While I wasn't drunk, I wasn't in good shape. FelC who drove me to the party advised that I should have some McDs before I head home. Its suppose to help the body to cope with the alco, so she says.

The meal was tastless, my tastebuds were numb, and while my head hasn't exactly found my neck, it was now weighing like a ton of bricks. I got my dear brother to come and pick me up.

Lesson learned: no more Jägermeister, and no trying any new alco at events. No!

5. Bye Jois.

Our intern from Amsterdam has just completed her internship. She is one amazing team mate.

She will be sorely missed by many.

6. Party in My Cabana (by OPI)

Thanks to Lady Mary and Jois, hot threw our second party of the year. This time it was at The Library.

Strips joined us and provided free manicure services. I got mine and I love the color... Party in My Cabana by OPI. Looks a bit candy-ish.

I think I'll go back to Strips for a pedicure for Christmas! :)

That's all for now, I've got some packing to do.

Adios peeps! I'm off for a 5 day trip to China.
