I finally got to cycle again. I've been wanting to get back on the two-wheeler, but a lone lady cycling through a suburb in KL paints a picture of crime waiting to happen. So, when I saw photos of Mavis and her mountain biking outings, I had to ask her how to get started. Turns out, she stays less than 5 minutes away, and she had a spare bike!
After what must be 15 years, I find myself looking at her bike, and not too sure how I'm going to get on it. The seat was at its lowest, but still higher than what I'm comfortable with. When I finally got onto the seat, both my feet were tip-toed, and making my first peddle-off was more scary than I imagined it to be.
Attempt number one, I didn't get very far before I took a tumble.
Attempt number two, no more tumbles, but I was like a drunk on two-wheels with the first two round-the-block. After getting more comfortable on the wheels, I reckon maybe there is hope for me after all. Ha! :)
