gymmer frens

I was driving home yesterday when I got a call from someone least expected- Narin.

Narin and I were colleagues during my Fitness First days. While I've moved on to full-time employment elsewhere, he is now a new-father to baby Tajwin. During my days of working at FF, Narin had always kindly taken time to train me at the gym. It wasn't a favour that needed to be asked, it was a favor that he often offers without prompting.

Yesterday's call was because I have not been to the gym for the whole week, hence came the: where have I been, and when will I be coming back? :P

So today, I got my lazy derriere up at 6.30am and off I headed to the gym. I didn't give myself as hard a workout as I would've suffered and enjoyed (sadistic eh :P), but I had a good run. Thanks to Sunny and SherB for getting me to run. It sure makes a lot of difference from brisk walking, or even general sports.

So far I've always set myself against a 3km mark. It doesn't matter how long I stay on the treadmill, as long as I complete 3km. I started off taking more than 30 minutes, and today I'm glad I brought it down to 23 min. Still a very long time I'm sure, but I reckon I'm good to pace myself for a 4km mark next week on. I'm hoping to make 10km by year end.

I've made so many good friends through my work at FF. I'm particularly closer to the trainers and dear SherB. :) Thanks guys, you're awesome. :D

p/s: wished Sunny was still around. He was one skillful fellow.
pp/s: bought a new badminton racket, and am looking forward to a 2hr game with the guys on Sunday. :) anyone wants to join?
