Coolpix S1000pj, which has a build in projector, so you get to snap and project.
This came shortly after Samsung launched their perfect camwhore digital compact the TL220 and TL225. It has dual LCD display, one each on the front and back of the camera. While I don't fancy a built-in projector or a dual LCD, it'd be interesting to see how the market takes to it. Of the 6-models Nikon launched, the management seems to heap highest expectations on the S1000pj.
Personally, I was quite taken with the D3000, an entry-level DSLR, and successor of the D60, which has been discontinued.
The D3000 boasts 10.2mp, 3inch LCD, 11AF Points, 3fps, New Guide Mode, Image Sensor Cleaning With Airflow Control (not that I understand half of the specs). It is rather affordable at RM 1,888 for body only, and RM 2,288 for the kit (which includes an AF-S DX 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 VR).
They have also added a second model to their DSLR- D300, something for the pros. Body only retails at RM 6,698.
Enough technical stuff, I have to say the food served was GOOD. MOS catered canapes for the press, the variety is amazing for a morning event. Some of my favourites include their poached scallops, watermelon with feta cheese and olives, smoked salmon pastry, and raspberry tarts. Didn't fancy the drinks though. The only cold drinks they had was Coke and Sprite. As I don't have much likings for soft-drinks, I was a little disappointed that they didn't even have cold water to serve. But its ok, I wasn't expecting food during the Ramadan month to begin with. :)
Oh yea, after the event, Ann who was there with me brought me to the best Curry Mee in Selangor at her treat. It was really good stuff! She's such a sweetie. :)
