All in a day's work

1. Levi's Modern Vintage Collection media launch @ The Library
Levi's had some of the most charming and good looking local celebrities to model their new collection.

Marion Caunter got the most cheers, and for good reason too. :)

Hunny Madu sang some popular jazz covers too. She was okay at best.

One person stole the show though. Shawn Lee who was ranked number 9 in the Beatbox Battle World Championship at Berlin performed at the event. He was just awesome to watch! It's amazing the talents we have in Malaysia! I took a video of his performance but the sound didn't come out very well. I'll post it up later.

2. The new VW PASSAT CC!!
Volkswagen sent us the Passat CC to test drive over the long weekend, and Doc took me for a quick spin in it.

It was such a smooth and comfortable ride.

And I like the windows very much...

You see... it's frameless dude!

Now I'm waiting for VW to send us the Scirocco (hopefully in Viper Green), and I want to test drive it!

3. Lux Masquerade Princess Search Ball @ Ritz Carlton Hotel
It was a ball for the nines. While most members of the media cames as they were (in office and casual wear), a good handful dressed to the mood of night in long gowns with a masquerade mask in hand, I was one of them.

I also had the pleasure of a very interesting man seated next to me. He spoke relatively little, and when he did, he was an entertaining and intelligent conversationalist. We were both rooting for Katrina to take the crown, but alas she came in only as the first runner up (picture: second from right).

The candidates where not impressive, and in my conversation with other members of the media, they too were quick to echo that same impression.

What about the Ritz? Well, the premises were grand and impressive, but the standard of food lost easily to Hilton KL and Marriott.

All said and done, I'm glad the day is over. I'm tired. It's a four day work week, but a very busy one as well. I feel rushed against time to do as much as I can before the New Year, and I'm losing time with my China holiday next month.

Well, tomorrow is rest. Thank God. :)
