An awesome Saturday

Ever since taking up a keen interest to venture out of the metro every Saturday, my weekends have whirled onto an alter level of excitement. But having had a rough last few weeks, by this weekend, I was edging with frustration, and it dampened my mood. Little did I know, I was in for a really good time, with really great friends- every single one of them.

I will write according to the sequence of events.

Kanching Waterfalls
In the morning, I met up with the MC peeps for a third trip to Kanching. This place was already a pain just to think of. I've been there too often too soon, so I wasn't really looking forward to it.

The guys proved me wrong. While the place wasn't interesting anymore, the guys were all really good sport. I'm so happy Calyn came as well. She's so nice, and I think Irwin looks with her around. :P

Well, with me was my new toy- Nikon D5000 (no, I did not give it any cutesy name). Even as an amateur, I love the depth it gives to the colour and picture. Look at the details on the rock. Nice!

And yes, the guys. They were really great to have around.

We go back too many years. :)

Baby Joshua at 3 weeks+
After the waterfall, I headed to Chen and Siew Seen's. I've been wanting to visit them for a long time now, but since the arrival of baby Josh, they needed some time to settle into a comfortable routine. I was only too happy to know that they can have me over this afternoon.

Tired from the waterfall, I took a shower and a nap at their place before taking photos for the family.

Chen and Siew Seen told me they have been wanting to take a photo of each of them kissing Joshua on either cheek. With gear in hand, I took my amateur skills to the task.

I reckon it could be so much better. There will be others days when I will come by and take more photos.

It's difficult to pick out a favourite photo from this album. The pictures evoked a lot of the love and serenity, they all portrayed something very special. I went through the album a few times just smiling at the adoring faces of both parents and child. I love Siew Seen and Chen heaps, so this really meant a lot to me.

Warcraft
I thought I have left this behind me so many years ago (well, since I left Adelaide anyways). I remember staying up in the night playing Warcraft, usually against the AIs.

Tonight, I headed back to Benny's and Marvin's. Irwin was with us and all four of us sat down for 2 games of DOTA, before I decided it was too late and I should head home.

Before I left, their parents offered something too good to pass.... really good mangoes and durians!

All this, and everyone of them made this Saturday absolutely awesome. :)
