Tuesday after work, a quick change of clothes and we met up with Jo (YT's friend) and Jewel (a 13 year old pooch of Jo's). Four of us (Jewel included) set off for the muddy trail. Jo hikes every week, not just at Bukit Gasing, so she took the lead with Jewel. The whole trail was like a breeze for her, while YT and I were panting behind.
It was muddy throughout and even had a narrow suspended bridge. There was one particular uphill climb that was especially challenging, I had to go on all-fours at some sections to get a good balance (probably because I am clutz-prone) :P.
I didn't time our hike, but I suppose it took us between 1 and 1 1/2 hours to complete the trail. Even before it was 7pm it got rather dark in the hill; the thick canopy of trees had blocked out most of what's left of the evening light.
I enjoyed it much and it was challenging. YT and I was thoroughly drenched in sweat, but the trail was absolutely doable, and I'm hoping to make a trip there once a week (till I get bored, which shouldn't take long). :)
